2016 Holiday Recap!

This past holiday season was amazing! We were able to visit last years locations AND add a new stop, The Ronald McDonald House of Central PA! What an awesome experience! At all locations we delivered toys for the children there.

Another amazing thing that happened, we did our first ever Christmas Mission. Four characters set out to make the lives of 5 select families simply more happy for the season. We collected donations from friends, family and people of the community. Wrapped them all up and put them in the SHIELD truck for special delivery!

We had a fun filled Saturday, thats for sure! In the morning we started off at the EdgeOfAutism walk which benefited The Tommy Foundation, an organization for Autism awareness.

Kristin plays a crucial role in the Central PA Avengers. From helping organize events to logistic execution she is an important backbone of the team.

Event Recap: THON 2016

Few words can be used to describe THON and the energy felt inside the Bryce Jordan Center. Simply put, you just can't put it into words. The 46 hour Dance Marathon raises money for Four Diamonds to fight against pediatric cancer.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Alexa, whom we had been in contact with for months! Nice to put a smile to the name! We were then escorted out to the floor, to interact with the dancers! AMAZING PEOPLE! So much energy was felt.

After our hour time alloted on the floor we decided to venture into the concourse and stands where we met with friends and other amazing people who came together for one common goal. Kick cancer in the butt.

Blanket Drive for Heroes Recap

I don't know where to begin, what an amazing experience! We started our blanket drive for the York Rescue Mission back in December and it wrapped up January 30th at the Women's shelter in York PA.

We gathered over 40 blankets and even had some help from Famous Footwear! It's always the small ideas that just take off!

Looking forward to our next trip to YRM!

SPRC Star Wars week recap

Thursday we got the great opportunity to visit Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center during their Star Wars week! This is our first time doing a Star Wars appearance.

"Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center offers premier outpatient physical, occupational and speech-language therapy to children with
disabilities, developmental delays and acquired injuries.

Our goal-oriented approach maximizes each child's ability to function as independently as possible within the community. We operate in Lancaster County and the surrounding areas."

We were met with many smiling faces and we made great friends! Looking forward to many more visits!

Meet the Team: Meghan

Meghan comes to the team with a good variety of costumes and a ton of energy. We really do enjoy having her around! An active cosplayer in the cosplay community she takes her time out from that to accompany us for some fun filled charity!
